Maximizing Training Efficiency: Lactate Analysis
At the Tignes Training Camp (Competition week), participants undergo a test to measure blood lactate concentration.
This allows us to accurately determine their thresholds and training zones. The test identifies your individual lactate levels, crucial for adjusting the intensity and duration of your workouts.
With this information, you can optimize each training session, tailor your daily planning to maximize benefits, and effectively enhance your athletic performance.

Pablo Ral
I am Pablo Ral, a professional ski mountaineering athlete and endurance sports coach. I was Spanish Sprint Vice-Champion in 2024 and Spanish Skimo Relay Champion in 2021 and 2022.
I hold a degree in Sports Science and specialize in high-performance ski mountaineering (SKIMO). I currently work as the Technical Director and coach of the Chilean SKIMO National Team, supporting athletes in their development toward the highest level of international competition.
As a coach, I work with athletes competing in the ISMF World Cup, helping them prepare for elite-level competitions. As part of this work, I was also involved in the preparation of an athlete for the 2026 Winter Olympics, where ski mountaineering made its historic Olympic debut.
As an athlete, I have competed in some of the most demanding and prestigious ski mountaineering races in the world, including Pierra Menta, Trofeo Mezzalama, and Tour du Rutor.
When I first started in this sport, there were almost no online resources available to learn and improve. This pushed me to spend more than 10 years learning, experimenting, and developing alongside some of the best athletes and coaches in the sport.
Eventually, I decided to share everything I had learned to help other athletes progress faster. Since 2018, I have been sharing training knowledge and ski mountaineering content on social media, where I have built the largest Spanish-speaking YouTube channel dedicated to ski mountaineering.
In 2021, the Tignes Training Camp was born. Today we are already celebrating its sixth edition, bringing together athletes from different countries. Many participants have transformed their understanding of ski mountaineering, found new inspiration, and taken their performance to the next level while enjoying the process.

FRECUENTLY ASKED QUESTION
FRECUENTLY ASKED QUESTION
Participants should be accustomed to training 5-6 days a week and have optimal cardiorespiratory capacity for the activities that will take place. If you’re unsure whether this is the right fit for you, don’t hesitate to contact us, and we will evaluate it together.
Participants will be provided with a list of equipment needed. It will closely resemble the gear required for an individual SKIMO competition or for a day of mountain activity. Boots should weigh less than 750g, and skis should have a waist width of less than 70mm.
Additionally, bring gym clothes and swimwear with a towel for the poil. If you have climbing equipment, feel free to bring your own.
Of course! You should indicate it when making the reservation payment, just as you would for any intolerance or allergy:
No. This training camp focuses on performance and efficiency. It is not a guiding or formal ski instruction service. When the terrain or activity requires it, certified professionals (ski instructors or mountain guides) may be involved..
At the TTC, you’ll have the wonderful opportunity to share rooms with other passionate SKIMO people, fostering a unique communal atmosphere.
This accommodation setup will allow you to meet fascinating individuals from different backgrounds and experiences, enriching your journey with new friendships and perspectives. It will be a space to forge meaningful connections while enjoying an adventure in The Alps that will stay with you forever.
So, if you’re ready to build bonds with extraordinary people and immerse yourself in the magic of the mountains alongside new friends, the Tignes Training Camp is the perfect choice for you.
As mountain professionals, we not only seek the greatest enjoyment, but also the highest safety possible during activities. To achieve this, we will have personal safety equipment, constant communication, and an adequate first aid kit. It is mandatory for all participants to have accident insurance that covers these incidents.
Historically, skiing has been possible in Tignes from the first week of November. Its north-facing slopes, high altitude, good snowmaking capacity, and the use of snow farming, combined with the opening of the ski area on the glacier, make Tignes a reliable choice to start the season with confidence.
However, if conditions do not permit the training camp to take place, alternative options such as rescheduling to a new date or changing the destination will be discussed with the participants.
Our primary concern is the satisfaction of the participants, so we will always strive to find the best solution.
To ensure the maximum transformation of each participant, the group will not exceed 6-8 registrations per week. This creates a highly exclusive group where individual attention can be maximized.
Being a small group will also enhance camaraderie and comfort within the Chalet.
